Our 4 Expert Tips for a Successful Hike on the GR34
-
Pack for all weather conditions: In Brittany, the saying goes that you can experience beautiful weather several times a day! Always take a windproof and waterproof jacket with you, even under bright sunshine.
-
Respect the environment: The Custom Officers’ Path is a fragile natural area to be preserved. Stay strictly on the marked trails to prevent cliff erosion, and always take your rubbish back with you.
-
Plan your stages in advance: The GR34 can be physically demanding with many short, steep slopes (“ankle-breakers”). Do not overestimate your strength; ensure you have good hiking shoes and plenty of water.
-
Always leave a little extra time for your walks: to fully enjoy your days, take time to observe the local wildlife and flora, relish a well-deserved break, or simply rest. The joy of holidays is also about not looking at your watch, right?
The great Breton outdoors is calling you! Whether with family, as a couple, or with friends, plan your next coastal getaway today and book your stay in one of our Terres de France holiday residences in Brittany.
