21 June (national event): Saint-Girons and the surrounding villages generally come alive with concerts and open stages.

4) Festaliz – 3 days of festivities in Saint-Lizier

17, 18 and 19 July 2026 – Saint-Lizier: one of the most festive events in the area, with a programme of events announced over several days in the heart of the town.

5) Massat Musique Montagne – exceptional concert at the cathedral

Thursday 30 July 2026 at 9pm – Saint-Lizier Cathedral: a wonderful musical experience in a unique heritage setting (2026 programme announced by the festival).

6) Autrefois le Couserans – the big ‘traditions’ event

From 30 July to 2 August 2026 – Saint-Girons: parades, costumes, scenes from everyday life in days gone by, markets, shows… This is THE popular summer event in Couserans.

7) European Heritage Days – unusual openings and visits

Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026: throughout France, many sites will be open exceptionally (and Saint-Lizier is the perfect playground for this).
